Product details

General

Vertical shaft turbine aerator is used for biochemical treatment of municipal sewage or industrial wastewater. With the impeller powerful propelling, the machine will agitate and scatter the water, renew water surface, transfer aerobic bacteria, input oxygen into the water, and as well generate a spiral thrust effect. It is especially suitable for oxidation ditch process.

Working Principle

Vertical shaft turbine aerator is the critical equipment for biochemical reaction tank, it combines aeration, agitation and flow propelling in one machine. The working principle is:

●The motor drives the impeller to rotate and the water at the edge of impeller will be pushed and scattered to form a water curtain, as a result a lot of air will be trapped in the water.

●The machine makes a vertical water recycling, the surface water will be renewed continuously and more water will contact with air.

●The impeller drives the water flow and negative pressure zones are generated, thus air is absorbed and oxygen in the air is rapidly dissolved in the water.

●Powerful propulsion also makes agitation, flow propelling and a spiral thrust effect.

Design Features

The aerator is designed with following features:

●High oxygen transfer efficiency: 2.3-2.5kgO2/kWh in oxidation ditches.

●Smooth operation and high transmission efficiency, service factor > 2.5.

●Aeration, agitation and flow propelling are combined in one machine, as a result the effective water depth are greatly increased, and the footprint of oxidation ditches is reduced 15%-40%.

●Designed with an adjustable installation plate, which can ensure the same immersion depth if several aerators are installed.

●Aerator can have a variable-frequency speed control or have a constant speed.

Equipment Series & Technical Data

Equipment model is expressed in following way:

The impeller structure is normally C type if not specified otherwise. Other types are also available if requested per process requirement.

For example, DSBC300Hx110 (or DSBC300H/110) mean an aerator with a 300cm diameter impeller, constant speed motor 110kW.

Foundation & Notes For Order

DSB aerators has clockwise type and counter-clockwise type. It is to be clearly specified the quantity of clockwise type and counter-clockwise type in one project. Foundation details and requirements will be provided once the order is placed.

Speed control mode - variable frequency speed control or constant control, is also to be specified in purchase order.
