Coaxial Isolator
Coaxial isolator is connected with instruments and equipment by coaxial connector such as SMA or N or L29. It has the characteristics of convenient connection. The third end of the coaxial isolators will have attenuation chip or RF resistor.
Coaxial isolator is a passive 2-port microwave device, which is used to ensure that there is no over current or signal reflection in RF devices. It can ensure the unidirectional transmission of the signal, capture and dissipate the energy reflected from the antenna end. The isolator is made of ferrite material and magnetic material to control the flow direction of input signal. In normal circumstances, if the load changes, it will cause impedance mismatch and increase the reflection, and the power of the transmitter will be reflected back. Once the power is too high, the chip and other components will be burnt out. At this time, if an isolator is added, no matter how the load changes, the reflection can be kept low, thereby protecting the transmitter.
The coaxial isolator has the characteristic of single conduction (the characteristic of the isolator), which is generally placed on the output end of the power amplifier, and the installation direction is consistent with the transmission direction of the radio frequency signal. The output power of the amplifier can pass through the isolator, and the reverse power will be in the load port .It is absorbed by the isolator to prevent power from entering the amplifier and damaging the amplifier (the ability of the power amplifier to resist reverse power is relatively small, and the reverse power can easily damage the amplifier).
